The Red Arrows used 243.450 today, i managed to listen to all of the comms, i was able to hear them clearly in Liverpool and then while mobile on the way to Southport (not to the airshow unfortunately, visiting the mrs' relatives) i heard about half an hour of Red Arrow comms and it was pretty entertaining, i guess some of it was being relayed over the tannoy system, as i doubt the pilots usually scream when doing certain routines lol

For the rest of the afternoon i monitored 121.175, i saw the Blades display team flying over and heard all of their air to air comms. I heard a few other bits and pieces but i wasn't listening too closely, heard a Lynx being mentioned and seen a few Hawks flying over and the big AWACS plane was circling around most of the time.

The other frequency i monitored was 121.000 (RAF Woodvale) and there was a decent amount of action going on there aswell.

Im sure i heard the Vulcan about 4:30ish being told to contact Liverpool John Lennon and in the distance we could see a plane heading in that direction, couldn't be sure it was the Vulcan though, i assume it was though as i guess that was one of the last aircraft to turn up, and after that nothing else was really heard.

Overall a pretty interesting day for monitoring airband! was really pleased to hear the Red Arrows as i've never heard them before on the radio.

Great stuff, it's amazing getting to see these type of aircraft in action, truely awesome display of technology/military power, it must be some adrenaline rush flying them!

Glad you managed to pick up some radio stuff from them aswell.
