do anyone know of any easy to understand instructions on how to use bcTool software ,i am trying to use it to load my frequencies into my uniden 3500 scanner with no luck so far,in the past i have had realistic scanners that are a lot easer to program than the uniden 3500,so is there any one out there who can please help me understand the scanner and the bcTool software,i admit i am not the brightest star in the sky but you seem to need a pirlots licence to be able to drive this scanner .

Hi Warlock,

Did you ever find the information you were looking for on bcTool - and have you managed to configure your scanner yet?

Cheers
Paul :ugeek:

hi warlock

lets start from the beginning

1) do you have your scanner connected to either the serial port or the USB port ?
2) do you have the most recent copy of bctool from the bctool website ?
3) Are you running windows XP / vista or 7 on your pc ?

reply with the answers and I can walk you through a setup

regards

BB

Don't know if you are still around BigBloke, but I could do with some easy instructions.

1.)Scanner connected to USB with serial port emulator. Can talk to scanner fine.
2.)Running BCTool 2.0.0.629
3.)Running on Vista

Bests,
F2
