hope to be buying in a few weeks time, saving up, the price of these have gone right up.£400.00 now. realy want a handheld, as i move a round a lot. have had the r20, but sold it last year, dam!. im just hopeing this radio is as good as people say. before i take the plunge, is there any body who says this ent worth the money for it. is all i have heard is good views. will at some time in the near future be buying the extras for it.

why did you sell your R-20?

Hi i have the AOR-8200MK3 and its an excellent performer across all bands with the right antenna and i also have the Icom-R20 and both radios are realiable.

This is a good site for reviews. Although it is American, I'm sure it's still relevant. Ratings are averaged-based.
